My Approach

I’m a qualified Empowerment Coach, Fire Walk Instructor, Iron Woman, open water swimmer, Enneagram Practitioner, international speaker and at my core, a proud Yorkshire powerhouse.
With over 20 years of senior experience in private healthcare, I bring a rare combination of commercial awareness, grounded compassion, and deep transformational work. My approach bridges the psychological and the practical — helping you not only gain powerful insights, but turn them into meaningful action in both your life and your business.
As a leadership coach and team strategist, I work across both personal and business coaching — supporting women, leaders, and organisations to grow with purpose and integrity. Whether I’m coaching one-to-one or working with teams, I help uncover what’s really driving behaviour, strengthen communication, and build cultures rooted in trust, accountability, and emotional intelligence.
I’m passionate about helping you burn through inherited limits, choose braver beliefs, and create a life and business that feel powerful, ethical, and deeply aligned with who you truly are.

My Journey

My work is grounded, expansive, and results-driven. Using tools like the Enneagram, emotional intelligence, and evidence-based communication frameworks,
I support you to deepen self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and lead — and live — with clarity, courage, and purpose.I didn’t follow a traditional path into this work and that’s exactly what has made it so powerful.
I started my career in hospitality with Hilton, where I learned the foundations of exceptional service, high standards, and how to truly look after people. It was a world of long, unsociable hours and constant pressure, a real test of character but it sparked something in me: a love of creating meaningful experiences and understanding what people really need.
I’ve always believed that opportunities show up when you’re ready for them and my move into private healthcare was no exception. I entered as a patient, but quickly became inspired by the holistic and preventative approach. That curiosity turned into a career spanning over 20 years. During that time, I worked my way through every level, from reception to practice manager, even helping set up a practice from scratch,  across both small family-run businesses and large multi-site organisations. Much of it, if I’m honest, was uncharted territory. I was often learning on the job, figuring things out as I went, navigating real-world challenges without a blueprint. It wasn’t until later that I found my academic path, completing a degree in Philosophy and Psychological Studies, a deep dive into how we think, what drives us, and how our perspectives shape our reality.

My Experience

That’s where my passion for personal development truly began.
While searching for leadership support myself, I discovered coaching and it was a genuine lightbulb moment. It brought everything together: my experience, my curiosity about people, and my desire to help others navigate their own challenges with more clarity and confidence. In 2018, I founded my own business, which later evolved into Northern Star in 2020.
Today, I bring a unique perspective having experienced business from every angle. I understand the pressures of leadership, the realities of running a business, and the dynamics within teams. That allows me to meet you exactly where you are, with both empathy and practical insight, helping you move forward in a way that truly works for you.

3 Things You May Not Know About Me

Since 2016 I have done one new thing every month.
Some big, some small and some no longer available.
I love experiencing what life has to offer.

I am an all year round wild swimmer.
Yes that includes ice dips, sea swims, waterfalls and tranquil lakes.

I usually have at least one challenge on the go.
Sometimes physical; though thankfully not all as extreme as the Ironman or 100km!
Personally and professionally I love expanding comfort zones.
